Turn 3 years in the year attending school.
Broad Class Goals:
Help emotional and social development by encouraging, self-confidence, self-expression, self discipline and curiosity.
Provide experiences that will help to improve and expand each child’s ability to think, reason and speak clearly.
Provide experiences that will help to improve each child’s receptive communication skills.
Give frequent opportunities to experience success in all parameters of development i.e. gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, social, and emotional.
Develop a climate of confidence that will facilitate learning.
Increase the child’s ability to cooperate and get along with others as a part of a group.

Developing a healthy sense of self-esteem through confidence in one’s growing abilities.
Work alone and cooperatively with others in completing a task.
Participate as a leader as well as a follower in tasks.
Express anger/frustration in an appropriate manner.
Show curiosity and a desire to learn.
Observe and make decisions.
Investigate mathematical concepts, such as patterns, measurement, classification and sorting.
Develop an increasing ability to problem solve.
Development of language/literacy skills such as letter recognition, and demonstrating an understanding of print that is read aloud.
Continue to develop all parameters, fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, social and emotional.

PRE - K: Turn 4 on or before August 31st
Broad Class Goals:
Recognize the alphabet both in and out of order.
Understanding concepts of books, such as authors, illustrator, characters, etc.
Using oral language to communicate successfully with an ever –increasing vocabulary.
Increasing knowledge of numbers, their relationships and the operations of mathematics.
Science and social studies as it relates to the child, their natural environment, and their community.
Develop more sophisticated abilities to problem solve.
Develop more sophisticated understanding of one’s own feelings and how to appropriately deal with those feelings.
Continue to develop all parameters of development, gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, social and emotional.
Appreciation and participation in art, music, and drama. |
