The Wellesley Hills Learning Team

Educational specialists in the following fields rotate through each classroom on a monthly basis, to enhance the diversity of the learning experience.
Music:
Increasing the children’s vocabulary, rhyming, repetition, singing, exposure to a variety of instruments, dancing are all components of our music program.
Science:
Dinosaurs, rocks, pumpkins gravity, and colors are just some of the topics learned about with our science specialist. Observing, investigating, cause and effect and questioning are always part of our science time.
Literacy/Storyteller:
Enriches our program by stretching the children’s imagination and attention span through storytelling. Creativity, humor, lessons learned through stories and predicting are some of the rewards of this program.
Creative Movement:
Our creative movement specialist challenges the children to strengthen their fine motor, large motor and core muscles. Following directions, coordination, balance and flexibility are also skills developed during this time.
